1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PassPics ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. App Description
PassPics is an iOS application that generates compliant passport and visa photos for various countries. The App processes photos locally on your device using machine learning to validate facial requirements, crop photos to official dimensions, remove backgrounds, and export high-resolution images suitable for printing and digital submission.
The App is developed and operated by Stefan Godoroja.
3. Purchase Terms
3.1 One-Time Purchase
PassPics uses a one-time purchase model:
- You can process and preview photos with watermarks for free
- To download high-resolution, watermark-free photos, a one-time purchase is required
- Price displayed in the app at time of purchase (varies by region)
- Purchase is processed through Apple's App Store
- Purchase unlocks the ability to export unlimited high-resolution photos
3.2 What's Included
Your one-time purchase includes:
- Watermark Removal: Export photos without PassPics watermark
- High-Resolution Export: 600 DPI print-ready photos
- Print Sheets: Generate print sheets with crop marks (A4, Letter, 4×6, etc.)
- Digital Photos: Optimized photos for online passport/visa applications
- Purchase History: Access to all your previously processed photos
- Unlimited Usage: No limit on number of photos you can process and export
3.3 Payment Processing
- All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account upon purchase confirmation
- We use RevenueCat to manage purchase validation and entitlements
- We do not store or have access to your credit card information
3.4 Restore Purchases
- You can restore your purchase on any device signed in with the same Apple ID
- Use the "Restore Purchases" button in the app to restore your access
- Purchase is tied to your Apple ID, not your device

4. Refund Policy
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies:
- To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Refund eligibility is determined by Apple, not by us
- Typical refund window is 90 days from purchase
- We cannot process refunds directly - all refunds must go through Apple

- We're happy to help troubleshoot problems and ensure the app works as expected
- Many issues can be resolved through support without needing a refund
5. License and Usage Rights
5.1 License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Download and install the App on devices you own or control
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Process and export photos using the App's features
5.2 Usage Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
- ❌ Use the App for commercial photo services or business purposes
- ❌ Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- ❌ Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App
- ❌ Remove or modify any copyright notices or proprietary markings
- ❌ Use the App to process illegal, fraudulent, or harmful content
- ❌ Abuse the App to create fake identity documents
- ❌ Share your purchase entitlement with others
6. Photo Processing and Compliance
6.1 Official Requirements
PassPics uses official government sources to ensure photo compliance:
- Country-specific requirements for Tier 1 countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia)
- Regular updates to match current official specifications
- Validation of head height, eye position, background color, and facial requirements
6.2 No Guarantee of Acceptance
Important Disclaimer:
- While we use official government specifications, we cannot guarantee that your photo will be accepted by passport/visa authorities
- Final acceptance is determined by the issuing government agency, not by PassPics
- Photo rejection can occur due to factors beyond our control (lighting, facial expression, photo quality, etc.)
- We recommend reviewing official government guidelines before submitting photos
6.3 Your Responsibility
- You are responsible for ensuring your photo meets all official requirements
- You should verify the compliance report before purchasing and exporting
- For critical documents, consider professional photo services if uncertain
- Always keep your purchase receipt in case you need to demonstrate compliance
7. Ownership and Intellectual Property
7.1 Your Photos
- You retain all rights to photos you upload and process
- We do not claim any ownership of your photos
- Your photos remain on your device - we never upload them to servers
- You may use exported photos for any legal purpose
7.2 App Ownership
- The App and all its features are owned by Stefan Godoroja
- All trademarks, logos, and service marks are our property
- The App's source code, design, and algorithms are protected by copyright
- Country photo requirements data is compiled from official government sources
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- No warranty that photos will be accepted by government authorities
- No warranty that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- No warranty that face detection or validation will work perfectly
- No warranty that all country requirements are 100% accurate (though we use official sources)
WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are not liable for photo rejection by government authorities
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the purchase
- We are not responsible for delays, costs, or fees resulting from photo rejection
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so the above may not apply to you.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains:
- How we process photos locally on your device
- What minimal data we collect (anonymous analytics only)
- How we use RevenueCat for purchase management
- Your privacy rights and data protection
By using the App, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to the App and Terms
11.1 App Updates
- We may update the App to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance
- Updates are distributed through the App Store
- We may discontinue features or the App with reasonable notice
- Your purchase remains valid even if we update or modify the App
11.2 Terms Updates
- We may update these Terms from time to time
- Updated Terms will be posted with a new "Last updated" date
- Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notice
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms
12. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App if:
- You violate these Terms
- You use the App for illegal or fraudulent purposes
- You abuse the App or attempt to harm our systems
Upon termination:
- Your license to use the App ends immediately
- You must stop using the App and delete it from your devices
- Your purchase data may be retained as required by law
13. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services:
- Apple App Store: App distribution and payment processing (Apple Terms)
- RevenueCat: Purchase management and validation (RevenueCat Terms)
Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and policies.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction
- For EU users: You have rights under EU consumer protection laws
- Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court
- You waive any right to class action lawsuits
